The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for portions Central Minnesota in effect through 10 AM this morning.

Three to five inches of snow is expected across the area, with isolated areas receiving six or more inches. Plan on slippery road conditions that could impact driving this morning, so allow for extra time to reach your destination.

The Winter Storm Warning includes Benton, Kandiyohi, Mille Lacs, Meeker, Sherburne, Stearns, and more counties. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect to the South of the Saint Cloud area -- including the Twin Cities metro.

A band of snow has formed across central Minnesota overnight and will develop through northern Wisconsin this morning. Snowfall totals generally look to be in the 3 to 5 inch range with amounts quickly tapering off on either side of the band.

From the National Weather Service this morning: Snowfall rates of 1-2" per hour are present within a snowfall band across central Minnesota and western Wisconsin this morning. Portions of central Minnesota and west-central Wisconsin have been upgraded to a Winter Storm Warning where total snowfall amounts in excess of 6" are now expected.
