A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect for most of central Minnesota and all of southern Minnesota and west central Wisconsin through Noon Wednesday.

Heavy snow is expected, with total snow accumulations of 4 to 9 inches, with locally higher amounts -- and winds gusting as high as 40 mph.

The snow will gradually end from west to east Wednesday morning.

Travel could be very difficult. Patchy blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday morning commute.
