Winter Weather Advisory for Tuesday Afternoon

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 2 PM Tuesday afternoon through 6 AM Wednesday morning for portions of Central Minnesota including Benton and Stearns Counties. 2 to 5 inches of new snow are expected by early Wednesday.

From the National Weather Service this evening:  We are watching the next system set to arrive later tonight and will linger into Wednesday. Central and northern Minnesota and northern Wisconsin are likely to see mainly snow with several inches possible. Mixed precipitation is likely across portions of western and southern Minnesota tonight. Although precipitation amounts are expected to remain light tonight, roads could become slick late tonight into Tuesday morning. A few inches of snowfall is likely across portions of Minnesota and western Wisconsin Tuesday into Wednesday morning.
