Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for portions of northern and central Minnesota in effect until 6 PM this evening including Benton, Mille Lacs, Morrison, Sherburne, Stearns, Todd, and Wright counties -- and the Twin Cities metro area. 3 to 5 inches of snow and winds gusting to 40 mph are expected.

A Blizzard Warning has been issued from 6 PM this evening through 6 PM Friday for western and southwestern Minnesota including Douglas, Kandiyohi, Meeker, Pope, and Swift Counties. 2 to 4 inches of snow and winds gusting to 45 mph are expected.

Plan on slippery road conditions. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.
