The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch in effect from Friday morning through Saturday evening for the entire state of Minnesota.

Total snow accumulations of 7 to 14 inches are possible in the St. Cloud area, and winds could gust as high as 45 mph causing reduced visibility and considerable blowing and drifting.

The heaviest snow will fall during the second half of Friday, with blowing snow becoming more likely on Saturday as winds increase as the system departs.
