PREPARE THE MEAT

You can prepare your beef chuck steak in the oven, but it's better if you've prepared it in a crockpot so it's nice and tender for easy devouring.  :-)

To cook in a slow cooker, put 1 tablespoon of butter and 1 teaspoon of garlic in the bottom of the slow cooker and place the raw steak slices on top. Cook on low for 4 -6 hours.

If you are going to bake your steak in the oven, preheat your oven to 400. Using a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of butter on high heat. Add 1 teaspoon of garlic and the raw steak slices. Sear for about 3-5 minutes per side, and then place the skillet into the hot oven to continue cooking until the steaks reach the desired temperature of at least 145. This should take between 5-15 minutes.

Once the meat is cooked, pull it apart and place in an 8 x 10 inch baking dish. Set aside.

VEGETABLE PREPARATION

About 15 minutes before beef is done cooking, use a large skillet, and heat one tablespoon of butter on high heat. Add the remaining one teaspoon of garlic, along with the sliced onions, mushrooms, and peppers. Cook over medium-high heat until just tender.

Add the cooked veggies to the pulled apart steak pieces, and stir to blend, then set aside.

CHEESE SAUCE

In a saucepan, melt the remaining tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Whisk in whipping cream until melted. Add one cup of shredded mozzarella cheese and stir until melted. NOTE: DO NOT ALLOW THE CHEESE SAUCE TO BOIL

Pour the melted cheese sacue over the meat and veggie mixture. Top with remaining mozzarella cheese. Place under the broiler until the cheese starts to brown and bubble.
