UPDATE: Wind Advisory Expanded

The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for a large portion of central Minnesota, in effect from 3 PM this afternoon through 6 PM Tuesday.

The Wind Advisory includes Stearns, Benton, Sherburne, Morrison, Mille Lacs, Wright, and more counties -- including the Twin Cities.

A High Wind Warning is in effect for extreme western Minnesota.

Northwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph expected, and could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.
