What’s the Best Minnesota Lake to Check Out For This Weekend’s Fishing Opener?

Fishing opener is this weekend and I have to say I'm pretty excited because to me, this signal that we're officially headed in to summer!

I love to go fishing, although I don't bait my own hook.  Worms are gross!  Since opener falls on the same weekend as Mother's Day, I don't think I've ever actually hit the lake right away.  Maybe that will change this year.

One thing that I want to do this year, is try out some different lakes.  It seems like we always head out to the ones closest to our house, which is fine but it's time to spice things up a bit.

Newscastic put together a list of lucky lakes in the Twin Cities area and I may give some of those a whirl,  but I really want to know which ones are good around here.  I'm not asking you to divulge any big secrets, I'm just curious as to where you head out to for some good fishing.
