Apparently Gordon Ramsay isn't the only celebrity who has been spotted around the state of Minnesota recently.

There's another super celebrity that apparently will be in our state at least until the end of October.

'CITY OF ANGELS'

Ever since I saw Nicolas Cage in the movie 'City of Angels' back in 1998, I've been in love with him. The idea that an angel in heaven could fall in love with a human, and fall to earth just to be with her, and then have to survive as a human after her untimely death; It's a story of romance and tragedy, and is the kind of movie that says, find true love and it never ends.

Although his next role does NOT appear to be anything about a fallen angel, it DOES have to do with life and death.

Nicolas Cage is apparently playing a role as a man named Parish, who is one of the last survivors of a nuclear apocalypse. He's been in many action thrillers before, and this one will appeal to those who love Nick in his amazing thriller roles.

FILM DIRECTED BY ADAM SIGAL

The film is directed by Adam Sigal and also stars Dane DeHaan from WarDriver and Oppenheimer, and Alexandra Shipp from Barbie and Straight Outta Compton. As of October 8, 2026, it is listed as being in pre-production, with no release date announced.

Other Nick Cage spottings have been reported having dinner at Oro in Minneapolis, visiting Prince's Paisley Park Studios, and although I don't know if he appeared in costume or not, there were many reports from people thinking that they spotted a Nick Cage doppelganger at the Minnesota RenFest!

FILMING

Filming for Parish is supposed to last through the month of October, so my guess is we absolutely could end up running into Nick out in public somewhere.

Have you spotted him here lately?

Como Park Zoo

Como Park Zoo has been a staple in St. Paul since it first opened in 1897. The park, zoo, and conservatory continue to evolve, and the attraction remains free to attend. If you can't visit the zoo, check out the photos below of many of its residents.
