Volunteer Vet Needed at Grey Face Rescue & Retirement
CARING VET NEEDED
Are you a retired Veterinarian? Or are you just finishing up vet school and ready to put your skills to work?
Grey Face Rescue is seeking a volunteer Veterinary professional to assist with their veterinary program and help guide their organization in providing veterinary services in-house for senior animals.
Grey Face Rescue is a senior focused, foster-based animal rescue located in St. Cloud. They have amazing people that volunteer their time, and all have the common threat of loving animals.
The Vet Services they are searching for assistance with would include but are not limited to:
- Performing exams and non-surgical services to foster animals.
- To field basic questions and discuss general health recommendations with foster families.
- Administer vaccinations.
- Perform blood draws, urine analysis, ear smear/cytology, Idexx.
- Provide treatments, vaccinations, injections, IV catheters, dress wounds, etc.
- Assist in managing supplies and medication inventory.
This person would be needed 2 days per month. As Grey Face increases the number of animals for rescue, they are looking for a professional in the veterinary field to assist in providing the best care for the senior animals in our care.
If you are interested in volunteering with Grey Face Rescue, feel free to contact Director, Bethie Gondeck at email@example.com.
Right now there are 16 dogs looking for a home through Gray Face Rescue and Retirement. I adopted Gloria from Grey Face, and my Co Host Pete also adopted Gigi his dog from Gray Face. They have been wonderful! Senior dogs have so much love to give; and they're like having adult sweet soft puppies all the time.
