Vikings Playoff Hopes Alive with Win Over Dolphins
The Minnesota Vikings (7-6-1) remain in control of their playoff destiny with a dominant 41-17 win over the Miami Dolphins at U.S Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
The Vikings started the day by scoring 21 straight points in the first quarter, only to see the Dolphins score 17 straight of their own to bring the game back within reach. Minnesota responded rolling off 20 more unanswered to runaway with the 41-17 victory.
The win keeps the Vikings in control of their own playoff destiny. With two regular season games remaining against the Lions and Bears -- the Vikes are guaranteed to reach the post-season by winning both.
The Vikings could still reach with playoffs with a loss over the final two weeks, but that would also require other teams to lose -- which is then out of Minnesota's control.
