The Minnesota Twins (63-71) erupted for eight runs in the fifth inning, beating the Rangers 10-7 Friday night in Texas.

Texas looked like they were off to an easy night at the ballpark, scoring two in the third and four in the fourth -- taking a commanding 6-0 lead.

Jorge Polanco's two-run double, Mitch Garver's bases-clearing three-run double, and Jake Cave's two run homer highlighted the eight run fifth inning for the Twins. Garver would end the night with three hits, including a pair of doubles, and four runs batted in.

Stephen Gonsalves got the start for Minnesota, but only lasted three and two-thirds innings, giving up three earned runs on six hits and four walks.
