‘Time’ Develops Tool To Measure Intelligence Of Your Tweets

Social media sites like Facebook and Twitter are being used by more and more people. I'm starting to see some of the lingo (LOL) used in everyday text, which is crazy!  Time Magazine has developed a tool that measures the intelligence of your tweets.  I was a bit disturbed by my results.

I saw this earlier today and I had to give it a try, if only out of sheer morbid curiosity.  All you have to do is put in their Twitter handle and it examines their tweets to determine what reading level they're at.

So I put in my own and based on my tweets, I'm at a 6th grade reading level.  There are a few problems with this.  First, I know my reading level is much higher than that because I was at a 6th grade level in elementary school.  Reading is one of my favorite things and I am good at it.  Second, I don't tweet much.  If you look at all my tweets, you'll see most of the are retweets from watching The Voice.

Regardless, I plan to get that level up so I'm going to make sure to put out intelligent, thoughtful tweets in the future!  Test out your tweet intelligence here.
