Thirteen Acre Bakehouse Reopens TODAY With Homemade Goodness!
There’s something about stumbling onto a place that feels like a secret, like you weren’t supposed to find it, but you’re really glad you did!
That’s exactly the feeling I got when I discovered Thirteen Acre Bakehouse for the first time. It’s not in the middle of a busy downtown area or along a main road. It's out in the middle of magical countryside.
THE THIRTEEN ACRE BAKEHOUSE IS OPENING FOR A SECOND SEASON
To get there, you'll head out of town to a county road, where traffic is nonexistent; a place where you might pass more wildlife than people on your way to your destination.

The Thirteen Acre Bakehouse is opening back up for a 2nd season TODAY! Last year, it was a quaint little farmstand, and I've been told that it has now been upgraded to a “bread shed."
MEET LOGAN STREFF
This is the kind of place that feels like a step back in time, in the best way. It’s run by Logan Streff, who has made a very intentional choice: to work from home, stay close to her family, and build something meaningful right where she is.
And what she’s built is something people clearly can’t get enough of.

OPENING DAY WILL BE SPECIAL THIS YEAR!
Last year, her farmstand was a huge hit. This year, she’s going even bigger. On opening day alone, she’s planning to bake 40 loaves of bread, along with muffins, cookies, and cinnamon rolls.
HOMEMADE GOODNESS AWAITS
It’s the kind of homemade goodness that you just don’t find sitting on a grocery store shelf. Add in farm fresh eggs, homemade jam, and elderberry syrup, and it starts to feel less like a stop and more like an experience.
But what really makes this story worth telling isn’t just the food, it’s the heart behind it.
This is someone choosing to create something from scratch, right at home, instead of following a more traditional path. Taking a chance that it WILL BE successful.
BRINGING 'FROM SCRATCH' HOME
There’s a courage in that. It’s not always the easiest route, but it allows her to be present for her family while still sharing her talents with the community. And clearly, people are responding to it. For me, it represents a part of me that wishes I could do that too..just a little bit. Being able to travel there...to see what she has made..and what she offers...is just a fulfilling experience for me.
She’s also making it a place for families. There will be free books and lollipops for kids, turning a simple stop into something memorable for parents and little ones alike.
WELCOME ADDIE, AND 'EVERGREEN COFFEE!'
And this year, there’s something new. Her niece, Addie, is launching her own business with a mobile coffee trailer called Evergreen Coffee. Opening day at the bakehouse will also be her very first day serving customers, with lattes available from 7 a.m. to noon. It’s a full-circle kind of moment! One small, homegrown business helping launch another.
If you want to check it out, mark it on your calendar, and take your stress-free country stroll to Thirteen Acre Bakehouse on April 24th.
