The Hard Road Home – Justin Ploof Turns Life Into Music

'Some roads look better than they are. I've taken a few of them,' said central Minnesota singer/songwriter Justin Ploof.

Justin made an announcement back on April 16th, and he's sticking to his plan.

WHO IS JUSTIN PLOOF

If you've never heard of Justin Ploof (also known as Justin McGuinn), you must not be part of the central Minnesota music scene.

Justin has been performing in central Minnesota for years. He's a solo artist; he's been a part of multiple groups throughout the years, including the very popular 'Mason Dixon Line, a band that features only the best of country music, performing the top hits in country through the decades. He has performed for years with his talented family members in 'Justing Ploof and the Throwback's, and so many more.

On top of it all, Justin is one of those people who makes you feel like you matter. He takes the time to speak to the people who attend his shows. He listens to their stories, and I would say stores that information to search his own soul.

GOSPEL EFFECT

He also has grown up in the gospel. Those deep traditions have stuck with him, and he often blends that Christian feel into his heartfelt lyrics.

NEW MUSIC DROPPING EVERY SIX WEEKS

He recently announced on social media that he would be dropping new music every six weeks. Real songs about real life. 'If you've ever had to learn the hard way...this one's for you,' said Justin.

One of Justin's new songs is called "Hard Luck Livin." 'Nobody talks about this part. How heavy bad decisions get. How quiet it gets when you're the only one left dealing with them. Have you ever taken a road you wish you hadn't? It's not about being perfect. It's about finding your way back home,' said Justin.

CATCH THE PERFORMANCE

If you've never seen Justin perform before, you have a chance this weekend, when 'Mason Dixon Line' opens up for the incredible, legendary Oak Ridge Boys. The groups will perform for the Sauk Rapids Fire Relief Association Fundraiser this Friday, September 11th, at Rollie's in Sauk Rapids.

Mason Dixon Line will start at 6:30 pm with the Oak Ridge Boys performing at 9 pm.
