There Are Only 6 Drive-In Theaters Left in Minnesota: Where to Find Them
I grew up watching movies at the '100 Twin' Drive-In just off 694 in Fridley. Here in St. Cloud it was the '10 Hi' Drive-In (off Highway 10 where Mies Outland is today) -- both are long gone. At their peak nearly 80 existed across Minnesota, but that number has shrunk to just six. Here's where to find them.
Long Drive-In Theater
Long Prairie, MNThe Long Drive-In Theatre continues to provide great movies, food, and fun. Movies begin at sunset Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights. $7 adults, $3 kids, 5 & under free. (Map)
Starlite Drive-In Theater
Litchfield, MNThe Starlite Drive-in Theatre is located on Highway 22 at Highway 12, just 1.5 miles NW of Litchfield. Adult admission is $7, kids 6-12 $3, 5 and under are free. (Map)
SkyVu Drive-In
Warren, MNNot much has changed at the SkyVu since the 50s except the movies have more special effects & the sound comes over your car's stereo. Located on Highway 1 just west of Warren, movies start at dusk Friday-Sunday. (Map)
Verne Drive-In
Luverne, MNGates open at 7:30 on Friday’s & Saturdays, 1 hour before show time on Sundays, and ½ hour before show time Monday through Thursday. Admission is $5 for everyone 6 & older. (Map)
Vali Hi Drive-In
Lake Elmo, MNOpen Friday, Saturday & Sunday nights. $9.50 for adults, $1 for kids 6-12, 5 & under free. Located on Hudson Blvd. (just off I-94 & Manning) in Lake Elmo. (Map)
