To be perfectly honest, as far as big box stores go, I am absolutely a Target shopper.  I know about the controversy surrounding the store, but there aren't a ton of options around here, and I refuse to go to that "other one" unless it's totally necessary.  In other words, the item that I need isn't available at ANY OTHER STORE.  So, it's few and far between that I actually shop at that store that starts with a W and ends with an almart.

WHAT IS THE ISSUE WITH POOR SALES

Target's sales have been lagging the last few quarters.  And it may or may not be because of the controversy surrounding the store.  Many people also think that it's because of online shopping.  But that isn't quite the answer.  The online shopping is only at about 20% as a whole compared to in store/person shopping.

WHAT IS TARGET'S PLAN TO BOOST SALES

Target has been implementing some new policies.  One was the 10/4 policy.  If they are 10 feet from a customer, otherwise known as a guest, then they must greet with a smile or wave.  The wave is weird.  The smile should be done automatically, not because of a new policy.  The 4 is if the employee is 4 feet from a guest they must say hi, ask them how they are or if they need help finding anything.

Target, along with Starbucks have introduced a new signature drink that is only available at the Target Starbucks.  The Twin Cities stores are also partnering with Krispy Kreme, and will have donuts available in store.

Target also plans on bringing in some more products, and reducing prices on some other select items along with some huge remodels for some stores that will begin within the next couple of years.

St Cloud needs a super Target - but that is just my opinion.  One much like the store that is located in Monticello.

WILL THIS MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE TO SHOPPERS

Will the new policies and products persuade you to shop at Target over other stores?
