Singer, songwriter and actress Helen Cornelius was born Helen Lorene Johnson on December 6, 1941, in Missouri.

Jim Ed Brown was born on April 1, 1934 in Sparkman, Arkansas.  Jim Ed along with his two sisters, Maxine and Bonnie appeared as The Browns on the Louisiana Hayride in Shreveport, Louisiana and ABC TV’s Ozark Jubilee and signed a record contract with RCA in 1956.

After completing high school, Helen Cornelius married.  Before the marriage her older brother played in country bands and she formed a trio with her sisters Judy and Sharon.  In 1976 she recorded a duet with Jim Ed Brown, “I Don’t Want to Have Marry You, “it became a smashing success other hits followed, “If the World Ran out of Love Tonight, “”If it Ain’t Love by Now.”  Brown hosted two nationally syndicated country music radio shows heard on over 300 radio stations.  Brown announced in September 2014 that he had been diagnosed with lung cancer. On June 11, 2015 Brown passed at age 81.

Most recently, Helen Cornelius has been active in the Country’s Family Reunion series on RFO TV.
