Saying Goodbye: Iconic Ice Palace Set To Close Permanently
GOODBYE ICE PALACE
People...We tend to put things off because we think they will always be there to enjoy. Well, in this case, we may be running out of time. The Ice Palace in Delano will not be coming back after this season; and now you only have one week left to enjoy it; so get your tickets before they are all gone. I'm wondering with Temperatures in the 40's this week, if there will be anything left to see this coming weekend?
THE ICE PALACE MADE WITH FAMILY
According to MPR, Jim and Shannon Youngstrom and their six kids and their spouses have been making the Ice Palace in Delano for years; but this year is bittersweet; because it will be the last Ice Palace in Delano that they will build.

THANKFUL FAMILY
A statement from the Youngstrom family:
"Unfortunately, after last year's challenging season - where we were only able to open for four days - we faced significant hurdles in bounding back. We knew we had to give it one more try, and we are grateful that we did. This season has reminded us of the wonder, laughter, and togetherness that the Ice Palace was meant to bring families."
So...If you want to see the beauty of the Ice Palace in Delano, you still have a small window of opportunity.
GET TICKETS FOR FINAL WEEK
The Ice Palace will be open for its final week this Thursday, February 27th through Sunday, March 2nd.
If you want to visit, you'll be able to enjoy ice tunnels, fire performances, a sledding hill, and of course there are food vendors and a unique gift shop on site.
With the purchase of a ticket, you can have a full day's access to the Ice Palace. They encourage you to dress in layers and make sure to wear warm boots to keep your feet dry.
Don't forget to take pictures, and make fond memories in this beautiful manmade wonderland while you can.
