WOOO! A professional wrestler who has ties to Minnesota is back training/working out after a recent health scare. The 'Nature Boy' Ric Flair took to social media to let fans know he was 'back in business' this morning.

A Legend Inside & Outside The Ring

Back on June 30th, retired professional wrestler Ric Flair took to X to ask fans for prayers as he was undergoing surgery. The accompanied tweet came with a close-up of his stomach, as well as a close-up of Flair's face, as he was recently diagnosed with skin cancer, too.

The cryptic post asking for prayers had professional wrestling fans worried for the man who took sports entertainment to a new level.

Unclear What Flair Had Surgery On

It's unclear to fans as to what Flair was having surgery on; however, he was recently diagnosed with skin cancer, the second time in three years, so there is some speculation that this is what Flair was having surgery for. In a follow-up video post on X today, Flair wrote: "Back In Business! A Little Blood Can’t Hold Me Back! I’ve Been Bleeding My Whole Life! WOOOOO!" He followed the words with a video of him working out/training on an elliptical machine, sharing the typed message.

From Tennessee To Minnesota, Then Worldwide

Flair, whose real last name is Fliehr, was adopted out of Tennessee, after being born in 1949, by his adoptive parents, who ultimately moved to Minnesota to raise their son in Edina.

Flair then joined the American Wrestling Association in 1972, turning that into a stint with a Japanese touring circuit for a year, before coming back to the US to wrestle for Jim Crockett/WCW from 1974 - 1991. He left for a few years before coming back to WCW from 1994-2001.

As a teen, I couldn't watch enough Ric Flair

It was that second stint with WCW that I got my first glimpse of "Nay-ch", I was invited to Monday Night Nitro, and the crowd lit up like the 4th of July when his entrance music hit! It was a cacophony of WOOOs, high-fives, and grown men yelling for the Nature Boy.

Fast-forward 20 some odd years and I still follow Flair on social media, noting the glimmer he still gets in his eyes when the camera turns on, knowing if he could he would still be working in the ring, but for now, he's on the mend, and like another Minnesota professional wrestler once uttered, he "ain't got time to bleed."
