Along the Soo Line Trail in Genola, Minnesota, a bar is turning the big 5-0 this month. The Red Rooster is celebrating with all of their customers, new and old alike, by offering up today a 'Huppy' Hour as well as a sneak peek at a new burger that will make its way onto the regular menu in the coming weeks.

What's Huppy Hour?

Well, as a nod to the bar's original owner, Dennis "Hup" Hoheisel, the staff at the Red Rooster will be offering up $1.50 domestics and rails today (Friday, August 1st) from 5-7pm. That right there is enough to make a person quite 'Hup-py'.

New Food Coming To The Red Rooster Too

The Red Rooster will also be sampling a new burger to those interested tonight from 5-8pm, or until they run out of the new burger. The soon to be on the menu option is a Central Minnesota twist on a Minneapolis classic. The new burger will be called the Juicy Jack, and it's a twist on a Juicy Lucy. (A Juicy Lucy is a burger that has cheese inside of it, creating a gooey, delicious mess for fans of the burger)

The Juicy Jack will feature Jolly Jack Cheese Spread stuffed into a ground beef patty, which was mixed by the folks at Theilen Meats of Pierz just for the Red Rooster.

More Things In The Works For The 50th

Also announced on social media, which if you aren't following, you might miss out on a special this month, is a website, plus the reveal of where you can buy the now infamous hoseradish pickles at a retail location, rather than at the bar.

Don't forget that with Oktoberfest coming up at the end of the month, the Red Rooster won't open until they make their way through the parade, so be sure to stop out afterwards and see what else might be going on.
