Who Is Singing The National Anthems At Pierz Freedom Fest?

This Friday and Saturday, history will be made as Pierz Freedom Fest becomes a two-day festival on the Morrison County Fairgrounds. As is tradition, the National Anthem will be sung during the festival, and this year, as the festival stretches to 2 separate days, there was a question as to who would be performing it. We now have our answer, as it will be two different people! Here is who has been selected to sing the National Anthem at Pierz Freedom Fest.

National Anthem Singers For Pierz Freedom Fest

Each year, festival goers at Pierz Freedom Fest stand at attention for the National Anthem, which is often brought out by a special group of people. Some years, it's members of the local honor guard from the VFW or Legion, last year it was members of the Minnesota State Patrol honor guard.

Once the colors are presented to the crowd, the National Anthem is sung by a local, and this yea,r with the festival running two days, there will be two different anthems sung.

Here is who will be singing the anthem on Friday and Saturday.

On Friday night, it will be Tanna Funk, and on Saturday, Janel Betsinger will be singing the National Anthem.

A Great Tradition That Continues

I wasn't sure if we would get one or two anthems this year, but I'm glad that the committee kept the tradition of having the National Anthem sung each day. It's one of the more serious parts of the festival, but it does remind everyone that we should remember those defending our freedoms overseas, and those who we lost in the name of freedom.

Each year I've been in attendance for Pierz Freedom Fest, the anthem has been top-notch, and I expect that will continue with both Tanna and Janel.
