St. Augusta Has Entered Into A Contract With A New City Administrator
The City of St. Augusta's City Council approved the employment contract for a new city administrator at last night's meeting. The new administrator, who replaces Bill McCabe, is expected to start on Monday, April 20th.
Currently, the City Administrator For Hanover
Jennifer Nash was chosen from the final group of three finalists to lead the City of St. Augusta. Nash is currently the City Administrator for the City of Hanover, population (est) 4,565, and is located in both Hennepin and Wright County. Hanover is just a few miles west of Maple Grove and south of St. Michael / Albertville.
In recent years, Hanover has seen residential expansion and major road projects affecting the city, including adding lanes to Highway 19 to make it 4 lanes.

When asked via email what she was looking forward to most about working for St. Augusta she responded "I am looking forward to getting to know the residents and business owners in St. Augusta and helping Council to achieve goals for the community."
3 Finalists Interviewed With City Officials
There were 3 finalists for the St. Augusta City Administrator job, with the finalists coming to a public open house on March 2nd, and then city officials conducted interviews on March 3rd.
The other two finalists had backgrounds in municipal government, with one being employed by Sherburne County and the other being a former Village administrator in Wisconsin.
Nash Will Hit The Ground Running
With various upcoming projects on the books, including a major street reconstruction project planned to start this year in St. Augusta, Nash will hit the ground running. There was also some interest expressed last night for a housing project that would feature 12-plexes being built, but is currently in the discussion phase.
Taking Over For Bill McCabe
Former long-time St. Augusta City Administrator Bill McCabe tendered his resignation to the council in late November, after 20 years, with his last day working for the City of St. Augusta being in late December. McCabe has since joined Moore Engineering and is currently working with the City of St. Augusta on their upcoming road and trail project that will take place starting this summer along 238th Street, 240th Street, and Gaberdine Road.
In the interim, Kim Claussen has been filling the role of McCabe.
Paul Shea is a member of the St. Augusta Planning Commission.
