The Minnesota National Guard has announced the return of nearly 3,000 soldiers to Minnesota over the next three weeks.  They have been serving in Afghanistan and Kuwait during the past year.

A National Guard spokesman says, given the complexity of transporting and processing that large number of soldiers, they won’t have firm dates and times for their arrival to their home armories until about 24-48 hours prior to their homecoming event.

We do know that buses will be arriving at 23 armories around the state, including: Alexandria, Brainerd, Camp Ripley, Sauk Centre, and St. Cloud.
