Munsinger/Clemens Gardens are beautiful places in the summer months. It's one of central Minnesota's destination spots. If you've never been there, now you've got a great excuse to take a trip there.

The 22nd annual Music in the Gardens concert series lineup has been announced. If you've never been to one before, it's basically a free concert in the middle of one of the most beautiful flower parks in the state. It's my happy place in the summer.

Here's this year's lineup!

  • June 13th: Random Road
  • June 27th: Harper's Chord
  • July 11th: The Half Steps
  • July 25: Dennis Warner and the D's - with the "Memorial Release of the Butterflies"
  • August 8th: Monday Night Jazz
  • August 22nd: Ring of Kerry

The concerts all happen at 3 p.m. on Sundays throughout the summer months near the Gazebo by the Mississippi River, weather permitting.

Another really neat thing they do during the concert series is sell root beer floats for $1 from the Munsinger Clemens Botanical Society.

On July 25th they will be holding their annual 'Memorial Release of the Butterflies'. You can buy a butterfly in the memorial of a loved one. The proceeds go to St. Cloud Quiet Oaks Hospice. The butterflies will all be released in the garden.

Each year on the third Thursday in July there's also an art fair in the garden. It'll feature artwork from over 45 artists from around the state. Food trucks and beverages will also be on-hand. It's free and open to the public. This year's event is slated for July 15th from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
