It isn't the Moondance Jammin Country we know and love, but it will definitely help us get our fix during this festival-free summer.

Moondance Jammin Country will be open this weekend for camping and entertainment on a smaller scale.

The Moondance grounds will be open for camping, and the bars on site will be open to the public this weekend. In addition to that, some local acts will be playing those small stages for guest entertainment.

Friday Mason Dixon Line will be playing at 7:30 pm with Blonde & the Bohunk opening with an acoustic show at 5:00. Saturday will feature Shotgun Drama Junkies at 7:30 pm with Rachael Ianiro Music opening at 5:00.

Camping will be available at the gate for $150 for a vehicle and two people. Extra people are $50 each. Electrical hookups are an extra $100.

As mentioned before these shows are open to the public and if you want to enjoy the live music there is a $10 cover charge.

It isn't the lineup of Old Dominion, Midland, and the Nitty Gritty dirt band, but these are some really awesome local acts that will make for some really fun entertainment this weekend. And I know Mason Dixon Line likes to throw "Fishin' in the Dark" in their setlist so you can get your NGDB fix that way. Plus there is the option of having a Moondance camping experience which is half the fun of the festival anyway!
