“The Boss” Gets His Own Star at First Ave in Minneapolis
Some of the great things about music is that no matter what it is, it wll bring some sort of feeling or emotion to you. You may love it, hate it, make you feel sad, happy, and a whole host of other feelings and emotions.
Bruce Springsteen (The Boss) is one of those artists that has been able to bring out a lot of feelings and opinions in people over the past few years. Springsteen has been somewhat polarizing with his political views and activism. You either totally agree, or you just plain old wish he would just shut up and play the music, or just go away altogether. There is really no middle ground with this artist. And it also depends on where you are. In greater Minnesota, the opinion is generally against his views. If you get more into the metro area, things are different.
EVERYONE HAS AN OPINION AND NOT ALL POSITIVE OR NEGATIVE
Because of the feeling and support of Bruce Springsteen in the metro area, he kicked off his tour in Minneapolis at Target Center. AND he got a star on the wall at First Avenue 7th Street Entry. A few weeks ago he performed there with his new song "Streets of Minneapolis".
First Avenue made a post on social media announcing the addition of Springsteen on thier "wall of fame".
SPRINGSTEEN HAS NOW LEFT HIS MARK ON MINNEAPOLIS
So, no matter how you feel about this artist, his name is now there to stay. Marking his territory, so to speak. Some people will praise this, take pictures, want to have their likeness along with his, or they will probably want to deface it. Please don't do that - that is vandalism. But go ahead and feel however you want to. That's the great thing about this country. Everyone has an opinion, and seriously, that's cool.
