Minnesota's Polaris Industries has just announced it will be shutting down the Victory Motorcycles brand.

For the last 18 years, Polaris Industries has produced their "Victory" line of motorcycles. The just announced they are going to stop production and close the Victory doors over the next 18 months.

Polaris, based in Minnesota, owns two motorcycle brands - Indian, and Victory, with the main manufacturing plant located in Iowa. The decision was primarily due to Victory having struggled to establish the market share needed to succeed and be profitable.

In a statement from Polaris Industries Chairman and CEO Scott Wine:

This was an incredibly difficult decision for me, my team and the Polaris Board of Directors.

If you own a Victory brand motorcycle, you're not in the dark. Polaris has made it clear they will continue to supply warranties and parts for 10-years.

The Victory Motorcycles dealer in central Minnesota is Mies Outland, with locations in St. Cloud and Watkins. Mies also sells and services the Indian Motorcycle line, which is also owned by Polaris Industries.
