Parking meters are pretty much the bane of my existence but I think this app could go a long way in helping me like them a little better.

Here's the deal, I don't like parking meters because I'm always afraid that I didn't put enough money in and it's especially bad when I'm not sure how long something will take me.  I also question my math skills with these too. I will go out of my way to avoid utilizing one.

There could be a potential solution to my problem.  According to WCCO Minneapolis has an app that you can use to keep on top of your meter right from your smartphone.  This is genius!

It's called Parkmobile and by the sounds of it, it's awesome!  Not only can you pay for parking and add to it if necessary, it will also track your spending, tell you when you've got 15 minutes left on the meter and it remembers where you parked!! That would be so awesome, I've had to program my parking ramp address in to the GPS on my phone because I got lost.

I think this app would be really cool for St. Cloud, but I don't think we need all of its functions. Since I don't work downtown and have to pay to park, I think it would be nice to just feed the meter from my phone, get the 15 minute warning and have it remember where I parked. I think this could be a pretty valuable tool for St. Cloud.

What do you think?
