Meet Brian Walker from Cambridge, Minnesota. He's our August Veteran of the Month! He was nominated by his wife Dawn who had this to say about him;

"Brian has been a wonderful father and provided an amazing home for the kids while also dedicating his life to our country. Brian has had many deployments, but always somehow manages to take care of his family and his military career. He deserves recognition for his many years of service and for putting God, country and family first."

Walker has served more than 22 years in the Army Reserves. "I was 17 years old [when I joined]...Honestly it was college money to be honest. Then I deployed two years later and loved it."

"Depending on deployment it was kind of scary...In 2004 I was in Mosul, Diamondback. The threat level was huge there.

Walker is originally from Ramsey, Minnesota. He went to Anoka High School before going to college at St. Cloud State University. He finished his degree at the University of Minnesota, Crookston.
