Long Prairie Drive-In Shares 1950’s Opening Weekend Advertisement

It's Throwback Thursday, let's go back in time!

The Long Drive-In in Long Prairie, Minnesota is one of the last eight drive-in theaters in the state. Opening weekend for the 2019 season is April 19th, 20th, and 21st. By chance it just so happens to be the same weekend as the season opener as advertised on a flyer from the 1950's.

The Long Drive-In Facebook page shared the almost 70 year old advertisement on April 17th. It depicts a woman in a dress holding down her skirt with words that say "Spring breezes blow the drive-in way!". Pretty risque for the era!
