This morning on Outside the News I mentioned a new iPhone app that lets your unborn baby pick their own name. I thought, “well, isn’t that silly!” but then we started getting calls and emails from people who wanted to know how to get the app. If you think your baby should pick their own name, here are the details.

“Kick to Pick” is an app for the iPhone and iPad that will solve that difficult task of naming your baby. Parents can narrow down a list of names by gender or by your favorites. You then put your phone up to the mother’s pregnant belly and wait for your bundle of joy to give a swift kick. The app cycles through names until a kick is detected then stops. That kick means your baby loves that name…even if it’s Gertrude. (Actually, parents can accept the choice or decline and try again.) I wish your family and new baby Gertrude all the best!
