Lakes Jam in Brainerd is warning people to not accept friend requests from a fake account pretending to be the festival.

I was added by this fake account early Sunday morning. It immediately threw up warning signs for multiple reasons:

1. Festival accounts aren't made like user accounts where you "add friends"

2. The only post on the fake page is a contest for Jake Owen autographed posters and camping passes

3. The punctuation and grammar in that post are terrible.

Naturally, the actual Lakes Jam page found out about this scam and posted a message to Facebook:

Do not accept any friend request from Lakes Jam..we have been spoofed.

If you have been added by this fake page, be sure you don't accept the friend request, and report it. You can do that by tapping the three little dots in the top left of the screen when you are on their page. Be sure you delete the bad profile's friend request as well.

Lakes Jam is coming back to the Brainerd International Raceway June 24th-26th 2021. Ratt will be headlining Thursday night, Jon Pardi will be Friday night, and the weekend will wrap up with Brothers Osborne Saturday night. Other acts that will be taking the stage at the festival include Carly Pearce, Matt Stell, Tracy Lawrence, Runaway June, Lita Ford, and more.

To stay up to date with all things Lake Jam 2021, be sure to follow them on their real page here, and visit their website to get your tickets.
