Keep Those Fire Hydrants Clear of Snow
Sure they're down in St. Paul, but the SPFD posted on Facebook and Twitter reminding all of us that when clearing the snow on sidewalks, be sure to clear snow around fire hydrants.
It's a good reminder for all of us. I shoveled out the hydrant next to my house yesterday.
It can take firefighters three minutes to clear snow from around a fire hydrant. That amount of time could allow the fire to double in size in your home.
What's good for the Saint Paul goose is good for the Saint Cloud gander. Shovel!
