It's a debate that has been going on for decades here in the #BoldNorth. Are you going to need to put on a jacket over your Halloween costume or not? The odds of a jacketless Halloween aren't always in your favor, but this year, there's a chance you could go without, you might need something else to handle the weather predicted for October 31st.

Right now the forecast from The Weather Channel is calling for a chance of rain on Halloween. That's the good news, for anyone looking to hit the streets Thursday night.

Halloween Day forecast from The Weather Channel: Showers in the morning, then partly cloudy in the afternoon. High 46F. Winds W at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 40%.

Halloween Trick or Treating forecast from The Weather Channel: Mostly clear. Low 33F.

Yes, it's going to be right around freezing for the low Thursday night, which means we could see temps in the low-40s to mid-30s for when the kids are out ringing doorbells and clamoring for candy.

If you are headed out to different trunk or treat events this weekend you'll see average and above average temps on Saturday and Sunday respectively.

Of course, we know these forecasts can and will change, right now the forecast is calling for a majority of the rain that could fall on Wednesday into Thursday, but if that stalls out a little we could see a soggier Halloween forecast in our future.
