Flying Somewhere? United Airlines Offers the Middle Seat Game Changer
When you are flying out of Minneapolis/St Paul to go on a nice vacation, and you are one of those people who doesn't want to pay extra just for some leg room or something a little more comfortable, as Murphy's Law would have it, you will be stuck in that middle seat in economy. I have been there. Just roll the dice and that's what you get. I will add that it is a pain that you have to pay to pick your seats even in that catagory of seats. Dumb.
Anyway, United Airlines has just made a change with that middle seat. And it's in Economy - Economy Plus, anyway.
THE FIRST MAJOR AIRLINE TO IMPLEMENT A NEW ELEMENT TO THE MIDDLE SEAT
United Airlines is the first major airline to implement some extra room on both the window and aisle seats. They are putting a little table option into that middle seat. That way, both the other passengers will have a bit of extra room, and a little table to share as well.
LOOK FOR THIS TO ROLL OUT SOMETIME NEXT YEAR
COST - THERE HAS NOT BEEN AN ANNOUNCEMENT AS TO HOW MUCH PASSENGERS WILL PAY FOR THIS NEW PERK
So, United Airlines is the first major airline that has stepped up to try and make the middle seat something more useful instead of the most uncomfortable seat on the aircraft.
If you want to see what the seat will no look like - just check out the plan here. Looking forward to those new aircrafts that are expected to roll out next year.
