Needless to say, I am not thrilled about this.

What do I need to know before I go through with it?

I have had oral surgery once before - back when I was 14 and had to get braces. It was a horrible experience, and I remember hating everything about it. Now, as a 25 year old, I have to get three of the darn things removed from my skull. I am beyond words on how much I am NOT looking forward to getting my wisdom teeth removed.

Thankfully, I have a lovely mother who is willing to be my personal nurse while going through the recovery process. I've got the surgery set for October 5th - and I find myself already counting down the days until the inevitable happens.

Do you have any tips on how to make myself more comfortable? Or, maybe the best way to keep myself from developing dry sockets. Any tips would be appreciated - and some nice words for encouragement are always welcome!
