The internet is a pretty wild place. Where else can you learn about ANYTHING at the touch of your finger? While it seems social media isn't always the friendliest place for people new to the internet, it can deliver some memorable moments. Some of those moments are viral moments, others are more personal. I saw a public thank you this morning on a community page, and it was a great thing to see, especially with how negative some pages can be.

The public thank you involves a woman in Central Minnesota who wanted to send a virtual message in a bottle to the kind stranger who pulled over to offer her some gloves as she walked outside in the cold. While the woman didn't take up the offer from the kind stranger, the gesture was genuine and heartfelt.

Here's the exact message:

This is to the man that pulled up to me and stopped alongside the sidewalk, rolled down his passenger window and offered me his gloves as I walked.
That was very kind. Your consideration was heartwarming.
Thank you.
I wasn’t wearing gloves and probably didn’t look very warm. So thanks for taking the time to notice that.
I didn’t mean to come across as rude when I told you “No, but thank you.”
You just happen to catch me on my cool-off walk in between buildings at work today.
Your kind gesture was very thoughtful.
And thanks for reminding me that consideration makes a person feel valued.

^^ That hits differently this time of year. ^^

How about for the next two weeks we try to treat each other like these two did?

Wouldn't that make for a pleasant holiday season?
