THE STORY BEHIND LACTAID

LACTAID milk was created by a man named Alan E. Kligerman, a third-generation dairyman who started as a milk delivery man, and discovered that not everyone on his route could enjoy the milk from his family's business, and he wasn't going to have it.

Alan studied dairy science at Cornell and after he graduated, founded LACTAID in 1974. Lactaid milk uses a lactase enzyme to break down lactose from fresh dairy milk, into sugars that are easier to digest, so most everyone can still have delicious milk.

Lactaid is made with fresh cow milk that is NEVER treated with artificial growth hormones.
