‘Honey Mama’ Wins Lottery With Her New Home Sweet Home
HOME SWEET HOME FOR HONEY MAMA
A sweet baby found her home recently at TCHS, and boy, did this dog win the lottery for animal lovers. Honey Mama was a loving mamma dog who spent some time in foster care while taking care of her pups.
My friend Vicki Davis, who was the Executive Director of Tri-County Humane Society for over 30 years, saw Honey Mama's pictures on FB while we were on the bus ride together to Ballards Resort for our fishing trip a few weeks ago.

VICKI'S STORY
Vicki said, 'Oh...look at her. She has kind eyes...' I said, "Vicki!" Do you think it's time for you to adopt?" She thought about it...and a few days later she sent me a photo of Honey Mama in the back seat of her car on her ride home. Here's Vicki's story:
'I met her on a Thursday and adopted her on a Saturday. She has the most endearing eyes and a sweet disposition. The other factor that sold me was the glowing recommendation her foster home gave her. 'Best dog we've ever fostered.'
Before meeting her, I planned to name her Lottie. But once I got her home and got to know her, the name Honey is perfect.
Not just that, I once had a dog that looked a lot like her, and her name was Hidee. So when I call her that by mistake, I can quickly try to change it to Honey!
Having two cats at home, the most important part of sealing the relationship is that she gets along with Roy and Keeley. The foster home told me she didn't really pay attention to the cats. at their place. So that part is good, but I didn't know if my cats were gonna be nice to her!
I'm happy to report the cats were curious when they met her; but polite.
I think Honey is happy here. I'm not sure how many couches she has had access to in her past, but I can tell she thinks it's pretty special. The other reason I think she likes it here is because of the squirrel population and other wildlife outside her window. I'm afraid if a squirrel runs to Wisconsin, that's where I'm going to get a phone call from!'
SQUIRREL!
Vicki says Honey just can't get enough of being around Vicki when she's in the house, but when Honey gets to go outside, it's all about the squirrels.
