GAME DAY PREVIEW: Vikings Visit 49ers Today in San Francisco
The Minnesota Vikings are looking to climb above .500 for the first time this season when they face the San Francisco 49ers this afternoon at Levi's Stadium in Week 12 of the NFL season.
The Vikings (5-5) are coming off a 34-31 win over the Packers last Sunday in Minneapolis. The (5-5) 49ers topped the Jaguars 30-10 last weekend in Jacksonville.
The Vikings will be without the services of defensive end Everson Griffen (non-injury related), 'out' for today's game. Offensive guard Wyatt Davis (ankle), safety Camryn Bynum (ankle), and safety Jost Metellus (non-injury related) are all listed as 'questionable.'
For the 49ers, running back JaMycal Hasty is 'out' today.' Defensive tackle Maurice Hurst is listed as 'doubtful, and running back Elijah Mitchell is listed as 'questionable.'
And this from Vikings.com...
To say this is a pivotal game is likely understating it. Both teams would be in the NFC playoff field if the season ended today, as Minnesota is currently the No. 6 seed while San Francisco is in the No. 7 spot. The ramifications are high for this one with seven games left. The winner will be the NFC's sixth seed after the game is over.

NFC Playoff Implications
Following last week's win over the Packers, the Vikings are now in the sixth spot in the NFC playoff hunt -- now controlling their own playoff destiny with seven games remaining in the season. A win today would be another meaningful step towards the 2021-22 postseason.
The Vikings are 3½ point underdogs against the 49ers today.
The game is set to kickoff at 3:25 PM CT. (TV: FOX, RADIO: 1240 AM & 95.3 FM WJON.)
