A true classic is about to return to theaters, 30 years after its original release. Steven Spielberg's 'E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial' first debuted on December 9th 1982, now on October 3rd 2012 the film will be re-released to theaters around the country for one night only.

This screening is not only for the fans to experience the epic film on the big screen (more than likely for the first time) but it is also to promote the long-awaited release of the Blue-Ray version of the film set to hit store shelves October 9th.

Fans who go to see the show will not only get to see it in it's full digitally restored glory, but they will also get to see a taped intro on the making of the film, plus find out how Spielberg came up with the idea for the movie. You can also look forward to Drew Barrymore (who plays Gertie) to share what the film means to her after all these years.

I have no doubt this special screening will pack theaters around the country, so I highly suggest you watch closely for the tickets to go on sale - they'll go quickly and you're not going to want to miss this.
