I've been told that I spend way too much time on the internet, and I won't disagree with that. I'm embarrassed to reveal my screen time on my iPhone in any given week. All that time online has lead me down some pretty interesting product paths. The most recent one I have seen I'm actually considering buying.

They make face masks with straw holes now.

St. Cloud put a face mask mandate into effect on July 20th, and the state of Minnesota followed suit not long after. This mandate requires masks to be worn in indoor public places, and an end to this mandate is nowhere in sight. So for now, we mask up.

Making that masking easier is this new mask with a straw hole. I had the one in the photo pop up in my Facebook feed and I was instantly intrigued.

Keep your face covered, or take a sip of your favorite alcoholic beverage? A decision many Americans are facing as they practice social distancing.

Well at Crook & Marker, we believe you shouldn’t have to compromise. So we are introducing a brand new, state-of-the-art Face Mask with an integrated straw flap so sophisticated that you will think NASA created it (they didn’t).

This mask is comfortable to wear, as it is made with moisture-wicking microfiber polyester, polypropylene and spandex materials. The new, “thinking of patenting” flap allows for easy insertion of a straw without the removal of the mask.

What makes this mask even better is that a portion of every purchase will be donated to the USBG Bartender Emergency Assistance Program to support bartenders and servers that have been impacted by COVID-19. And for $14.99 you'll also be the proud owner of a fun conversation piece.

I know we can take our masks off when we are seated at our table, but I appreciate the novelty of a straw hole on a mask. It's fun, it's silly, and if it brings a smile to your face or someone else's I see no harm in it. Plus some of the money is going to a good cause. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go order one.
