Delta May Soon Add High End Amenities at MSP Airport
How important is it to you to fly in complete comfort? I'm talking about long flights to somewhere like the far East, Australia, New Zealand, or somewhere that takes hours and hours of flight time.
Also, if the comfort is extremely important to you, how much are you willing to pay for that comfort?
Have you heard of the Delta 1 flights? It's pretty amazing. In short terms, it's like a pod that you have all to yourself on the aircraft. You can lie down and take a nap if you'd like, plus a ton of other amenities. But it's going to cost you. On a trip that I checked, it could cost around 5 grand for 2 people round trip. That's from Minneapolis to Italy. And that's planning way ahead. It can be a bit less expensive if you have a ton of sky miles.
Now, if youi are part of the Delta Club, and you have the sky miles card, and the other perks that Delta offers, you can take part in the Delta Club lounge. But, now that might get even better. Plans are to bring a Delta One Lounge to Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport.
What does that entail?
Consider that for international flights they recommend that you get to the airport about 3 hours in advance of your scheduled flight. You check in, get through TSA and now you have a bunch of time to hang out.
If you are a Delta One traveler, you could get some great perks. The Delta One Lounge that they have put in at JFK is pretty amazing.
From Bring Me the News:
One would assume that if they do actually include the Delta One lounge at MSP amenities would be similar. Right now, the Delta One lounge is a possibility at MSP, but they did announce non stop flights from Minneapolis to Rome beginning next year. Maybe worth the upgrade??
