Because of this situation, where you buy a lottery ticket, and have some hope for a short time.  But still, you purchased the ticket.  It might have been a Powerball, regular state lottery, scratch offs or whatever.  You took the time to buy a ticket, and this time... YOU WON!  Why wouldn't you claim your money?  I can tell you one thing... that would NOT be me.  I win something, I am 100% going to get the cash.  You do have one year to claim your winnings in Minnesota.  Some of those winning tickets are coming up on that one year mark.

Unless.... did you lose the ticket?  If that is the case, there are quite a few of you out there that have "lost the ticket".  That would be awful.  Up until just recently, the million dollar raffle that happens in Minnesota on January 1 had 2 unclaimed Million dollar winners.  Looking today, I see that one of the winners has finally claimed their prize.  The other ticket was purchased at the Coborn's in Delano, and is still unclaimed.

There are 2 Minnesota winners in the Power Ball.  Both have won $100,000.  One person purchased a ticket at the Speedway in White Bear Lake in June - still unclaimed.  And another person just won $100,000 YESTERDAY!  They might not know that they won... but if you bought a ticket at the North Star Gas and Grocery in Henning, Minnesota, check your ticket!
