If you haven't heard about the Powerball jackpot being at an all-time high yet, you live under a rock. I typically don't play the lottery, but this time I did buy a ticket.

I've found myself having these hypothetical arguments with my fiance, Dave. He says that if he won the lottery, he'd buy the Minnesota Twins. I told him that if I won the lottery, I'd buy myself a tour bus and travel the country doing random acts of kindness for strangers.

He says that he'd like to move to California. I told him I'd most certainly stay put in Minnesota.

He says he'd like to take the cash prize, I'd want to be smart about it and take a yearly stipend of like $25 million.

I feel like I'm the more sensible and practical one in the relationship, and he's more of a free spirit spender. I keep telling him that he wouldn't be rich for very long if he won the money. We go back-and-fourth debating about what we'd do with the money and we're certainly not on the same page with it. The reality of it all is, we're most likely not going to win the jackpot anyway. This got me to thinking--yes, it would be nice to win the money, but I also feel like you'd have a load of problems that went right along with it.

With that being said, I still have my fingers crossed that I'm the lucky winner on Wednesday night. Take my advice, don't get into arguments about what you'd spend your pretend money on because odds are, it's not going to happen anyway.
