Amazing Indian Food Being Served Up in St. Cloud [Watch]

Welcome to #ExploreCentralMN, my new project where I experience our hometown/area like a tourist would! This past weekend my boyfriend and I decided to try out Kohinoor Bar and Grill in downtown St. Cloud. Neither of us have ever had real deal Indian food before and after scoping out the menu online, it sounded really good! We got there on Saturday night, around 5 PM. The place wasn't busy then, but really started filling up as we left around 6:30. The service was fantastic, we sat at the bar and the bartender was super friendly, the drinks were mixed well (I had a cosmopolitan, Cory a mojito) and the bartender gave great food recommendations. When our meals arrived, it's like heaven hit my taste buds. I had the Methi chicken curry and my boyfriend had the Masala chicken curry. With both dishes, we could choose how "hot" we wanted them. I went mild and Cory went medium. Mine was perfect for my weaker pallet and his had a slow burn on the back of it. Both dishes were ones I would order again. Pro tip: order a side of the garlic Naan to dip into the curry. It's a game changer.

Overall it wasn't what we expected from a place labeled as a "bar and grill", it seemed almost classier than that with the granite counter tops and modern decor. The prices were a bit more than I would've thought, about $15 for an entree. In Central MN that seems a bit high, but for the amount of food we got, it was fair. For drinks and meals for the both of us it was just over $50, so it was a little more expensive of a night out than normal, but we totally plan on going back!
