"I'll tell you what's on my mind, it's butt cold out here, and I'm fresh out of beer." - Grandpa Gustafson (Burgess Meredith)

One of Minnesota's most quotable movies, Grumpy Old Men, is getting a remake. The 1993 film was set in Wasbasha, Minnesota, and filmed in various locations around the Twin Cities. Fun fact: the interior shots of the homes were filmed on a sound stage at Prince's Paisley Park!

Of course the original John Gustafson, and Max Goldman won't be returning to the screen, they both passed away in the early 2000's. Rumblings around Hollywood are saying that Eddie Murphy is slotted to play one of the leads. No other announcements have been made yet, but Samuel L. Jackson's name has been thrown in the mix to play Eddie's neighbor.

Not everyone on the crew will be different this time around, John Davis, who produced the previous Grumpy Old Men movies, is producing the new addition! There's no word yet on when we will see this new remake, or if it will take place in Minnesota. Hopefully they stick with the Land of 10,000 Lakes as a backdrop!
