You Can Blame Our Sunny Haze on Canada
You've probably noticed the haze in our central Minnesota sky. We can blame Canada for sending their wildfire smoke our way.
It's all due to fires burning in far northern Canada, but the jet stream is steering right in our direction. The good news is that the air quality is not too bad because the smike is in the higher levels of the atmosphere.
North Dakota, Montana, and Idaho are also enjoying the Canadian haze. Parts of northern Alberta are facing evacuations due to the fires.
The smoke is expected to dissipate late Friday into Saturday and wind patterns and rain move into our area.
At least it all makes for spectacular sunrises and sunsets.
