What’s With the Crazy Cap’n Crunch Stuff All Around St. Cloud?

As if 2020 couldn't get any weirder. I feel like I'm living in some sort of weird alternate universe where everything is becoming Cap'n Crunch flavored and no one can hug their grandparents.

I keep finding weird stuff becoming flavor-blasted with Cap'n Crunch.

I was shopping at Walmart for baking supplies and stumbled on Cap'n Crunch flavored pancake mix, sitting next to a bright blue bottle of Cap'n Crunch pancake syrup. Apparently, the pancake mix is "berrytastic" flavored, and the syrup is "oceanic blue". Which I don't think is a real flavor.

Fun fact, the syrup and pancake mix are selling on eBay as a pair for $50. Must be a limited edition thing.

I was at Walgreens in Sauk Rapids and then stumbled on the Smart Food Crunch Berries Popcorn Mix. That one seems less strange. It just looks like popcorn and cereal mixed together, which sounds like something I should have been doing for years. That one says it's a limited-time flavor on the bag.

Cap'n Crunch also just launched a new breakfast cereal for Halloween that is fittingly called "Halloween Crunch" and turns the milk green as it soaks. I have yet to see that one on store shelves, but I also don't buy a whole lot of cereal and haven't been looking.

I actually haven't been looking for any of these. They just find me, like a Facebook ad that won't go away.

I haven't actually tried any of them, but that "ocean blue" syrup might be too big of a mystery to pass up solving.
